This week, 74 households that were affected by the fire in Kostanay region will receive assistance from the Red Crescent. Assistance to families will be provided through postal orders, thanks to donations from concerned citizens, the corporate sector and the Swiss Red Cross.

In addition to monetary assistance, in the first days of the emergency, the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan took measures to provide assistance and transferred basic needs, bedding, as well as dressing materials to temporary accommodation facilities for victims. Psychosocial support was provided to evacuees, where special attention was paid to elderly citizens.
