On October 10 in Bishkek, a memorandum of understanding was signed, establishing a network between the National Red Crescent Societies of the member countries of the Turkish Red Crescent organization.
The “Turkic Red Crescent Network” includes the National Societies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
These National Societies are members of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which responds to humanitarian needs worldwide in accordance with the Principles, Rules, and Regulations of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The “Turkic Red Network” provides a unique opportunity for collective cooperation to address the growing humanitarian challenges faced by National Societies in the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. It is designed to support the work of National Societies in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable.
