Due to a sharp increase in air temperature, massive melting of snow, as well as freezing of the soil, there was an increase in the water level in the reservoirs of the West Kazakhstan region.

According to the results of the assessment, 1017 people will receive assistance for a total amount of 101 million tenge, which were allocated by the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. This assistance will help flood-affected residents to restore property, as well as purchase other essential goods.

The joint project of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan and ForteBank “Help Card” has been in effect since 2018. During this time, it was possible to help more than 14 thousand Kazakhstanis affected by natural and man-made emergencies. Last year alone, within the framework of the “Help Card” project, the affected families received about 500 million tenge.
