Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, food and voucher assistance has been provided to more than 14,000 families across the country. Red Crescent volunteers provided the formation and delivery of food baskets to the most vulnerable groups of the population. This category includes single elderly citizens, people with disabilities, single mothers/fathers and large low-income families – people who have fallen into a difficult life situation.

Also, only under the program “Orphans” (no breadwinner) with the financial support of the Red Crescent of the UAE this year, 4016 children received financial assistance for a total of about 1 billion (997.5 million) tenge.
